"If you do not listen to me and obey my commandments [which happened],...., I will make you a proverb, and a byword among all the nations where I drive you to" – Deuteronomy 28:37 (from Moses’ speeches to the Israelites in 1450 BC)
Israel has been (and is), the most hated nation in the world. Terms like "Dirty Jew", "the Christ killers", etc have become legendary. So widespread and intense is the hatred, that there is a special word for it: antisemitism. (Think about it! There's no special word for hatred of Germans, Nigerians or South Indians!). Pagan Rome, Roman Catholicism, Islam, the Nazis, the Orthodox church and the czars, the communists, have all unleashed their hatred on Jews. Learn the historical details.
Today, more than 1 billion Muslims and hundreds of millions of their sympathizers continue the hate. Islamic TV stations show Jews as cannibals and pigs. The image, from PA TV, shows the hatred for Jews that is being planted into millions of Muslim children. Irrespective of where you stand on the Israel/Palestine issue, you cannot deny that today's anti-Israel environment goes far beyond a land-dispute or disapproval of Israeli policy. No one complains about Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, or about the Arabs occupying Berber land. In most Muslim countries, non-Muslims are second-class citizens. This has not prompted any "BDS" on them. When ISIS conquered much of Iraq and Syria and brutalized the citizens, we didn't see any "Free Iraq" or "Free Syria" T-shirts or demonstrations. With Russian help, Syrian president Assad has been bombing his own people. No protests. The world howls in protest at Israel's screening of goods entering Gaza, claiming sympathy for the Palestinians, but millions of starving North Koreans don't get such sympathy. Examples like this could be multiplied. Today's antisemitism is masked, but that does not change what it is.
The following is from Dave Hunt, Judgment Day.
A Eurobarometer opinion poll late in 2003 questioned five hundred persons from each European Union nation. Fifty-nine percent overall (74 percent in the Netherlands) considered Israel to be the greatest threat to peace of any country in the world.
More than two thousand adults across Britain were polled in December 2004 concerning their opinions about some two dozen countries. Israel was rated the country most Britons would least like to visit, the least deserving of international respect, and the least democratic (although it is the only democracy in the Middle East). [From Judgment Day, 3rd Edition, p30] One wonders at the misinformation that gives rise to such distorted opinions.
The UN commission on human rights discriminates against Israel before it even votes: that lone democracy in the Middle East is the one UN member excluded from this commission. At its March and April 2004 meeting, about “25 percent of the debates were dedicated to attacking Israel and out of the commission’s 10 country-specific resolutions, 5 were directed against Israel …During the six-week session, while 190 countries met for vital consultation within their regional groups, the Israeli representative was-literally-left standing in the corridor….” There was only one emergency session during the meeting, not for the million plus victims in Darfur, who were virtually ignored, but to condemn Israel for killing Ahmed Yassin, head of the Hamas terrorist group…”
A letter dated January 13, 2005, carrying the Russian parliament’s letterhead, “called on Russia’s prosecutor general to officially open a legal investigation into banning all Jewish religious and community groups on grounds of defense of the homeland. Using some of the most profane language of the post-Soviet era”, the seven-page letter, which described Jewish beliefs as “nothing less than Satanism,” was signed “by 20 members of the 450 seat State Duma lower house of parliament.”
Best selling books in Japan blame Jews for every disaster, from earthquakes to the stock market crash of 1993. Such was the message of an ad covering one-third of a page in the newspaper Nihon Keizasi (Japan’s equivalent of the Wall Street Journal). It even claimed that Jews controlled Japan’s Finance Ministry and the Bank of Japan. The paper rejected a call for a retraction or apology by the Simon Wiesenthal Center. (Judgment Day, pg 33)
Perhaps no one hates Jews as much as some Muslims do. For example, Saudi Arabia’s King Ibn Saud said, “For a Muslim to kill a Jew…ensures him an immediate entry to heaven” (Official British Document, Foreign Office File No 371/20822 E 7201/33/31, quoted by Dave Hunt in Judgment Day, pg 35). By the way, Saudi Arabia has what Hitler only dreamed of: a Jew-less society. Mein Kampf in Arabic remains popular in Muslim countries.
On August 28, 2005, a yahoo news report said that Egyptian actor Amir Waked faces a ban in his country just because a BBC drama that he participated in included an Israeli actor, Yigal Naor. Can you believe the hatred?!
ANTI-SEMITISM AT ITS WORST SINCE NAZI ERA: Matthias Kuentzel, a German scholar who has traced the influence of Adolf Hitler in the Muslim world, says Judeophobia is at its worst level since the Nazi era. The Middle East conflicts fuel anger at Israel, but this is more than just frustrated people blowing off steam. It is a demonology that encompasses all Jews, wherever they live or whatever their stand on Israel. Editorial cartoons across the Middle East and Europe portray Israelis as ogres who devour babies, drawing on medieval and Nazi imagery. [Never again? Yeah, right.--ed] [Chicago Tribune] (Reported by EMET NEWS SERVICE, October 6, 2007)
DOUBLE STANDARD IN CNN'S "GOD'S WARRIORS" SERIES: Narrator Christiane Amanpour repeats the phrase "God's Jewish Warriors" 22 times in the segment about Jews, but links "Muslim" and "Warriors" only five times in the segment about Muslims, although violent Muslims have inflicted thousands of times more death and destruction in the world than violent Jews have (Emet News Service, October 13, 2007).
CANADIAN POSTAL WORKERS BACK BOYCOTT AGAINST ISRAEL: [Canadian Jewish News, reported by Emet News Service, May 3, 2008]Think about it. Here is a nation with remarkable qualities: they are among the best in the world in electronics, IT, agriculture, life sciences, avionics, pure sciences, music, desalination of water, solar energy and so on. They have never conquered any other nation – all they’re firm about is their ancient homeland. Why does the world hate Israel so much?
Strange as it seems, this hatred is exactly in harmony with Moses’ prophecy # 13! Moses spoke these words long before Islam, the RCC, the Nazis or White supremacists existed – but his words ring true with ever more force today, proving that God was behind his prophecy!
“Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says Jehovah, and they will fish [for] them. And afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes” – Jeremiah 16: 16, 17
Moses predicted in 1450 BC that Jews will be hated all over the world. Here Jeremiah (in around 600 BC) is giving us an indication of what actions will follow that hatred. You can do a google search on "Antisemitism" and get tons of information, but here are some details.
According to the Koran, Christians and Jews are “people of the book”, and hence not to be massacred, but subjugated as “dhimmis” – fifth class citizens subject to heavy taxation and cultural humiliation. For instance, when Islam took over Morocco, the Jews were forced to live in ghettos called mellahs. Incidents of rape, looting, burning of synagogues, destruction of Torah scrolls and murder were too frequent to be listed. For a detailed account, refer to H Z Hirschberg, A History of the Jews in North Africa (Leiden, Netherlands)
When Islam took over Palestine (remember: the Romans rechristened Canaan as Palestine in honor of the ancient Philistines), Jews had a life of “protection” as dhimmis under the Muslims that was worse than death. In the early seventeenth century, Christian visitors to Palestine declared: “Life here is the poorest and most miserable that one can imagine….[as dhimmis, the Jews] pay for the very air they breathe…” (Samuel Katz, Battleground: Fact and Fantasy in Palestine, quoted by Dave Hunt in Judgment Day, pg 34). This persecution has continued till the twentieth century.
In a letter dated July 10, 1974, to then-UN Secretary General Kurt Waldheim, United States Attorney General Ramset Clark declared, “Jewish people living in Syria today are subjected to the most pervasive and inhuman persecution…Young women and children are harassed in the streets. Old people are knocked down. Homes are stoned. They are forbidden to leave in peace and cannot remain in dignity….Many have been arrested, detained, tortured and killed”.
After Islam, the Roman Catholic Church has been in the forefront of persecuting Jews. Dave Hunt writes:
Pope Urban II, who organized the first crusade, promised instant entrance to heaven for those who died in that cause (hardly different from Islam’s promise of Paradise for jihad martyrs). On the way to the Holy Land, the Crusaders slaughtered Jews (more than one thousand in 1096, in the city of Worms alone), and when they reached Jerusalem, they herded the Jews into the synagogue and set it ablaze. Urban II had told them to take that land – not to restore it to the Jews, to whom it belonged as the Bible so clearly declared, but to the RCC as the new people of God. (Judgment Day, pg 286). Needless to say, the Jews were one of the main targets of the Inquisition.
On April 26, 1933, justifying his planned extermination of the Jews, Hitler reminded Church representatives Bishop Berning and Monsignor Steinmann that “the Church for 1500 years had regarded the Jews as parasites, had banished them into ghettos, and had forbidden Christians [that is, Catholics] to work for them…and that he merely intended to do more effectively what the Church had attempted” (Guenter Lewy, The Catholic Church and Nazi Germany)
To quote another author:
Before he became Pope Pius XII, Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli had given Vatican money to Hitler to help fund the Nazi Party. The 1933 Vatican Concordat that Pacelli negotiated with Hitler gave the Nazis a certain legitimacy, and in Hitler’s words, was a great help in the “struggle against international Jews”. Upon becoming Pope, Pacelli wrote to Hitler: "To the illustrious Herr Adolf Hitler, Fuehrer and Chancellor of the German Reich! We recall with great pleasure the many years we spent in Germany as Apostolic Nuncio, when we did all in our power to establish harmonious relations between Church and State. Now…how much more ardently do we pray to reach that goal…" (Judgment Day, pg 284)
Dear reader, you surely know how Hitler searched all over Europe for Jews to kill. Many of them hid in the mountains, rocks and caves (suggestion: watch The Sound of Music or Shindler's List), and Hitler searched them out, just as Jeremiah prophesied, long before Hitler or the RCC existed.
By the way, the other world powers share the blame with Hitler. Towards the end of WWII, Hitler offered to sell five hundred thousand Hungarian Jews for two dollars each, and no one took up this offer! Loftus and Aarons, in their book Secret War observe:
"The British Foreign Office and the US State Department were both afraid that the Third Reich would be quite willing, indeed eager, to stop the gas chambers, empty the concentration camps, and let hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of Jewish survivors emigrate to freedom in the West."
Not to be left behind, Pope Pius XII wrote an urgent letter to President Roosevelt in June 1943 to persuade him that Jews should not be allowed to return to Palestine.
After World War II, with the full knowledge and blessing of American, French and British intelligence, the Vatican ran an underground escape network called the “Vatican Ratlines” – the worst Nazi war criminals were taken to South America to escape prosecution. For a detailed account of the Vatican Ratlines, and other atrocities that the Roman Catholic Church committed on the Jews, refer to Dave Hunt, A Woman Rides the Beast (Harvest House Publishers)
Yes dear reader, the whole world is guilty of persecuting God’s people, the Jews. Being God’s people not only carries privileges, but also responsibility. The Jews failed miserably in their responsibility to remain faithful to God, and God has used antisemitism to punish Israel. Consider this:
Both these facts together are yet another pointer to the fact that the Jehovah, the God of Israel is the true God, and the Bible is His authentic message to man!
